Day 1: Marrakech to Imlil, Trek to Toubkal Refuge

  • Morning: Departure from Marrakech to Imlil. The drive offers scenic views of the Haouz Plain and the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. On arrival at Imlil, prepare for the trek.
  • Trek to Aremd: Start the trek along the Mizane Valley towards Aremd Village, experiencing traditional terraced farming and local Berber life.
  • Lunch at Sidi Chamarouch: Continue to the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch for lunch. The shrine, set near a waterfall, is a significant spiritual site, though only Muslims are allowed to visit the shrine itself.
  • Afternoon Trek: Post-lunch, the trek becomes more challenging as you climb to the Toubkal Refuge, your stop for the night. This part of the trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
  • Evening: Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and rest at the Toubkal Refuge, preparing for the next day's summit attempt

Day 2: Summit Day and Return to Marrakech

  • Early Morning Ascent: Begin the ascent early to take advantage of the cooler temperatures. The route takes you through rocky and rugged terrain, offering spectacular views en route to the summit.
  • Summit of Jebel Toubkal: Reach the summit of Jebel Toubkal, standing at 4,167 meters. Spend some time enjoying the panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and beyond. This is a perfect opportunity for memorable photos.
  • Descent to Imlil: Begin the descent back to Imlil, retracing the steps but with a different perspective of the landscape in the descending light.
  • Return to Marrakech: Once back in Imlil, board the transport for the return journey to Marrakech, marking the end of a remarkable adventure.
