Day 1: Journey from Marrakesh to the Rustic Charm of Tinzert via Imi Oughlad
Embark on an adventure starting from the scenic route towards Imlil, pausing at Imi Oughlad (elevation: 1,450 meters) to meet your local Berber guide and muleteer. The day is dedicated to a gentle acclimatization walk through the breathtaking Ouirgane National Park, renowned for its serene landscapes featuring copper-green soil and lush juniper trees. Conclude your day with a cozy stay at a traditional gite in Tinzert, an authentic Berber village nestled in the mountains. Walking duration: Approximately 5 hours.
Day 2: From Tinzert to the Majestic Azzaden Valley and Ait Aissa
Rise with the sun and venture from Tinzert into the heart of the magnificent Azzaden Valley. Witness the splendor of this landscape where a vibrant mountain stream meanders through verdant walnut groves, pointing the way to the towering peaks of Toubkal and its companions. Your day ends in the welcoming embrace of a village gite in Ait Aissa, where traditional Moroccan hospitality awaits. Walking duration: Approximately 5-6 hours.
Day 3: Ascend from Ait Aissa to Tizi n Mzik and Descend to Imlil
The final leg of your trek is a remarkable ascent from the Azzadene Valley up towards the village of Tizi Oussem, followed by a climb to the pass at Tizi n Mzik (elevation: 2489 meters). Relish the panoramic views before descending to Imlil. After a refreshing lunch in Imlil, a transfer will take you back to Marrakesh, leaving you ample time to immerse yourself in the city's vibrant evening atmosphere. Walking duration: Approximately 4-5 hours.
